The Roundtable

I’m a waiter in Arizona and I work at this kind of fine dining type place. Our menu is a little overpriced as far as I’m concerned, but the tips are really great. We have this one really nice banquet room that has a big roundtable in it. It looks like something out of a medieval fantasy, but people really like. And I love working it. Last night there was a bunch of Scottsdale DUI attorneys in there and they were ordering up a storm. When it was all said and done their bill was nearly $3,000. Needless to say it was a really good night for me and the guys helping me.
The way management works the roundtable room is totally fair. There’s usually a couple bookings per week on average and basically everyone gets a turn. Sometimes you even get to come in just to work the roundtable room. Last month one of the girls couldn’t make her shift for the room, even though she was going to make a ton of cash. She was really torn but she had concert tickets and had waited months for the show. I ended up covering for her. That time it was filled with a bunch of Tempe DUI lawyers, but they were really cheap.
